As a child, Enji would join her friends and family as they gathered around to sing. It was their way of unwinding after long days of work in Mongolia’s capital city of Ulaanbaatar. Despite hearing long song — the traditional Mongolian singing style with elongated syllables and circular breathing techniques — on a daily basis, she only started formally learning the style in adulthood.
