In a world that incessantly pressures artists to be “productive,” Yasmine Hamdan takes her time. Considered a pioneer in Lebanon’s modern indie music scene, Hamdan first made waves in October of 1997, with the debut of her electro-pop group Soap Kills. Over a decade later, she decided to embark on her own journey, debuting with Ya Nass in 2013 and performing on NPR’s Tiny Desk a year later.
