Pianist Joey Alexander displays a nuanced stylistic maturity on his eighth studio album, 2026’s Celestial Keeper. The follow-up to 2023’s Continuance, Celestial Keeper is Alexander’s first album since moving back to his native Bali, Indonesia. It arrives on the heels of a formative decade for the instrumentalist living in New York and Baltimore, during which time he grew from an 11-year-old jazz wunderkind, to a Grammy winner and leader of his own internationally recognized trio.
