Amid the praise lavished on their roistering live shows, Fat Dog drew a small number of doubters with their 2024 debut album, WOOF.. Some dubbed their dance-punk eruptions “trite”, others one-note. Tight, fresh and frequently expansive, the south Londoners’ second album issues often jubilant answers to such doubts. While a US tour left the band faintly frayed at the edges, a quick return to recording has maintained their momentum.
