Few archival releases feel as genuinely worthwhile as this newly expanded edition of The Autumn Stone. Originally assembled and released by Immediate Records in 1969 without the band’s involvement, the compilation has long occupied an unusual place in the Small Faces catalogue. While it introduced listeners to some of the group’s finest work, it never truly reflected how the band wanted its music to be presented. More than five decades later, that finally changes.
