Bruce and the E Street Band perform a 28-song set on night one in Milan. Highlights: “Atlantic City” rotates in. 2025 additions “Rainmaker,” “House of a Thousand Guitars” (performed solo acoustic), and the show-closing cover of Bob Dylan’s “Chimes of Freedom” all appear.
…Little Steven Van Zandt returned to the concert stage with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band on Monday, June 30, at the San Siro Stadium in Milan. Van Zandt had appendicitis surgery in San Sebastian, Spain, the rocker posted on June 23.
The E Street Band traditionally enters the stage one by one before The Boss takes the stage. In Milan, Van Zandt came out holding hands with Springsteen at the beginning of the show before the band launched into “No Surrender.”

Following the release of their sole, self-titled studio album in June 1989, Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe embarked on an extensive and well-received world tour.
With the Chris Squire-led Yes languishing in a singerless limbo in Los Angeles, the offshoot tour was the closest fans would get to the Yes live experience throughout 1989 and early 1990.
Recorded at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California on September 9, 1989, An Evening of Yes Music Plus was originally broadcast on the King Biscuit Flower Hour radio show and as a pay-per-view concert film, before being commercially released in 1993 on double CD and in 1997 on the then-new DVD format.
…An Evening of Yes Music Plus does what it…

Best known as a former member of The National Reserve, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Jon LaDeau has released several collections of his own music, as well as working alongside many other artists on stage and in the studio. Originally from New Jersey, LaDeau is now resident in New York, where he recorded his fifth solo album, Chateau LaDeau, in his home studio.
All eight tracks are his own work, as is much of the instrumentation. Things took shape gradually, with each song being passed to co-producer David Butler in the form of demo recordings. LaDeau has featured on festival bills with Jeff Tweedy, Emmylou Harris, Sturgill Simpson, and Commander Cody, while Butler is a touring member of alternative rock band Guster, and both men…

If the 1970s were when power pop was invented and made into one of the more exciting styles of music around, and even occasionally very popular, the ’80s were when the style permeated the music scene as it split into multiple tendrils of guitar-based pop. Following up on their excellent collection Looking for the Magic: American Power Pop in the ’70s, Grapefruit Records delivers another brilliant set of freshly scrubbed power pop tracks on I Wanna Be a Teen Again: American Power Pop, 1980-1989. On the three-disc set, one gets to listen as the classic power pop sound of the previous decade shoots off in different directions. Its chiming guitars and swirls of sound inform the paisley underground, a slicked-up version wends its way through the new wave…

Ace Records continues its quest to offer variations on a theme by exploring country interpretations of the music of Bruce Springsteen. Springsteen’s Country collect 20 covers of The Boss, some familiar (Johnny Cash’s “Johnny 99,” Steve Earle’s live take on “State Trooper”), some offbeat (a take on Tunnel of Love opener “Ain’t Got You” by Solomon Burke, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s version of beloved outtake “From Small Things (Big Things One Day Come)”), and some altogether lesser known (Americana acts like Lera Lynn and The Whiskey Treaty Roadshow interpreting “Fire” and “The Rising”). The set was compiled by Sean Rowley, a well-known British DJ/presenter who happens to be one of the men on the album cover of Oasis’ (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?.

The album was released in July 1971 and followed his successful and influential album Songs for a Tailor. Once again, Jack’s intention was to make a record distinctly diverse from the music he had recorded with Cream, and Harmony Row expanded even further on the musical palate he explored on Songs for a Tailor featuring compositions which drew stylistically on jazz, folk, classical, rock and Eastern musical influences.
Joining the recording sessions at London’s Command Studios were guitarist Chris Spedding and drummer John Marshall, with Jack singing and playing piano, organ, bass guitar and cello. Harmony Row was highly acclaimed upon its release and is now rightly regarded as a masterpiece and one of Jack’s seminal works.

The world needs The Ex, now more than ever. For 45 years, the Dutch post-punk trailblazers have loudly and frantically defied capitalist oppression with a militant message, focusing klieg lights on the cracks in our geopolitical system. With unflagging fervor, they hold up a mirror to inequality and social injustice. Their music, rife with punk energy and an exploratory spirit, is just as radical as their words. Today the band’s communiqués are less frequent, but their music and their motivating force are just as powerful. What once was a raging firehose of primitive fury has become a nuanced and poetic juggernaut, always growing and moving forward.
If Your Mirror Breaks is The Ex presenting a sense of eclecticism. Over the decades, they’ve…

The antepenultimate date of the Land of Hope and Dreams Tour brought Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band to its penultimate stop, concluding the year’s trilogy of shows in Germany with a trip to Gelsenkirchen’s Veltins-Arena.
Slotted in-between that sensational night in San Sebastián and the long anticipated finale shows in Milan’s San Siro, this one may have flown under the radar for many. Add to that the fact Springsteen and the E Street Band were still without Little Steven Van Zandt following his emergency appendectomy, would this be one where everybody in the house had a point to prove?
While the thunderstorm on June 24th made for a much looser performance than we’re used to on the 2023-2025 World Tour, expectations…

Bruce and the E Street Band perform a 32-song set on night two in San Sebastian.
…Springsteen and the E Street Band had already included the tour debut of “Prove It All Night” when rain overtook San Sebastian, Spain during “House of a Thousand Guitars.”
They ended up waiting 35 minutes for the skies to clear. Then Springsteen and company went on a tear as they played four more songs for the first time on this tour. Included were “Growin’ Up” from 1973’s Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ; and “Darlington County,” “Working on the Highway” and “I’m on Fire” from 1984’s Born in the U.S.A. “Prove It All Night” originally appeared on 1978’s Darkness on the Edge of Town.
The Reale Arena stop on Springsteen’s…

For two decades, Will Hoge has carried the torch for American rock & roll, carving out his own blue-collar sound rooted in amplified guitars, melodic hooks, southern soul, and rootsy stomp. It’s a sound that nods to the best moments of the past – while still pushing forward into new territory, with Hoge’s storytelling and larger-than-life voice leading the charge.
Will Hoge release 15th studio album Sweet Misery. On Sweet Misery, Hoge reminds listeners that he isn’t afraid to break new ground – all while giving a keen nod to his rock and roll roots with the kind of grace and purpose that only comes with experience – without the baggage of predictability.
In Will’s own words – “…I found myself really wanting to make a louder, hooky…

Stripping away excess layers, Dispossessed lives up to its title. The band went into Causa Sui’s Jonas Munk’s studio on the last day of February 2025. In an a priori session, the first note played together since 2023’s Dens – the conclusion of a trilogy and a live album all in less than a year. Has something shifted during the silence? Added aggression? Faster tempo? Darker ambiance? The feeling of losing time? Or is it simply the listener who’s world has tilted? In a fast paced world, Edena Gardens shows us how to resist and tune to our own inner chord.
Edena Gardens deals in subtle shifts that can only be summoned from something played for the first time. From the sludgy blasts of opener Hiraeth to the droning ambience of 10-minute…

…Ostensibly tied to the ongoing reunion tour, Complete Studio Album Collection is exactly what it says: the band’s seven studio albums issued between 1994 and 2008, plus 1998 B-sides collection The Masterplan.
Available on CD and vinyl, the releases include 1994 breakthrough album ‘Definitely Maybe’, 1995’s ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’, 1997’s ‘Be Here Now’, 2000’s ‘Standing On the Shoulder of Giants’, and 2002’s ‘Heathen Chemistry’. Later releases like 2005’s ‘Don’t Believe the Truth’ and 2008’s ‘Dig Out Your Soul’ are also included, as is the iconic B-sides album ‘The Masterplan’.
With the exception of that rarities collection, which settled for No. 2, all of these releases topped the U.K. album chart and represent…

London’s The Lo Yo Yo was conceptualized by John “Alig” Pearce in 1984 after his primary group, the deservedly legendary Family Fodder, went dormant. Soon enough a few others were enlisted to round out the quartet, including Mick Hobbs of The Work and Officer! fame, alongside friends Joey Stack and Carrie Brooks. The Lo Yo Yo took elements from their other groups and, in the tradition of somewhat like-minded acts like The Raincoats, Naffi and Amos & Sara, added a strong dub/reggae element.
Shortly before their lone studio LP, which was recorded by Charles Bullen of This Heat fame, the band self-recorded a demo tape at home on an eight track reel to reel, reissued here on vinyl for the first time by Concentric Circles.

Cherry Red Records released not one, but two brand-new studio albums from Jim Bob on the same day. One album is Automatic and one album is Stick. This is not a double album, double albums allow filler in and there is no filler on ‘Automatic’ or ‘Stick’. You won’t find any skippable Instrumentals or reprised versions on these beauties, just wall-to-wall, floor-toceiling bangers – 22 of them – 11 songs on each excellent record.
‘Automatic’ features the full band from the last three Jim Bob albums (‘Pop Up Jim Bob’, ‘Who Do We Hate Today’ and ‘Thanks For Reaching Out’ – also available on Cherry Red Records) and includes the opening sing-a-long ‘Victoria Knits The Wars’ which features on the first 7” single.
‘Stick’ is a punkier, dirty power-trio, guitar…

Sombr has New York City under his spell. The 20-year-old had jusr stepped onto a stage assembled on Canal Street to the sound of piercing screams. His debut album I Barely Know Her was scheduled for release in a few hours, but the musician wanted the first introduction of these songs to happen on the same streets that exist within them. There were people perched on fire escapes, others watching from the ledge of wide open windows. Behind the provisional stage, cars passed by and buses trudged along to their next stop while passengers glanced curiously at the impromptu rock show that shut the street down. The scene was everything that the album is — enamored, uninhibited, steeped in sonder.
I Barely Know Her strikes a balance between…
